Anne Thompson is an artist whose curatorial practice focuses on political critique, site specificity and activities that move beyond institutional spaces.

Biography

As director and curator of , Bennington鈥檚 central venue for contemporary art, Thompson curates temporary exhibitions and oversees public programs that engage themes across the liberal arts. She teaches courses related to curatorial studies. Before joining the College in 2017, Thompson founded and curated the I-70 Sign Show, a nationally acclaimed public-art project that positioned the Midwestern Interstate as a corridor for cultural and political commentary. She has a BA from Vassar College, an MA from the Missouri School of Journalism, and an MFA from the Yale School of Art.
