Bryn Mooser 鈥01 is an Oscar-nominated filmmaker and the cofounder of RYOT.org, an immersive media company specializing in virtual reality storytelling that was recently acquired by the media giant The Huffington Post.

Mooser was named one of Esquire magazine鈥檚 鈥2012 Americans of the Year鈥 for his work in Haiti. As country director for Artists for Peace and Justice (APJ), a celebrity-backed organization providing education to the poorest children, Mooser helped build APJ鈥檚 secondary school in Port-au-Prince, which now educates 2,400 Haitian youth every year. Before working in Haiti, he served in the Peace Corps in West Africa and hitchhiked from Bangkok to Berlin.

Mooser is also an award-winning filmmaker. RYOT鈥檚 short documentary Body Team 12鈥攁bout those charged with the grim task of collecting bodies at the peak of the Ebola crisis鈥攚as acquired by HBO and went on to receive an Oscar nomination and win a best documentary short award at the Tribeca Film Festival. Their films have won 11 awards and been shown at 40 international film festivals.

In his spare time, Mooser plays bass and saxophone in the London-based band Proud Mary.
