Exploring Art, History, Literature, Languages, and Cultures Across the World: This session will show how languages are taught here and discover opportunities beyond language classrooms. Participants will immerse themselves in an introductory Japanese course to gain insight into a language classroom by examining historical paintings, woodblock prints, and illustrated fashion books to investigate Japanese society in the Edo period (1603-1868). Then we will explore advanced-level works created by our students in Chinese, French, Japanese, and Spanish programs, along with various opportunities available to students, including study abroad programs, FWT internships, and teaching at local schools.
