Wonderland Tea Party
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | On May 18th, Uptown Stories is hosting a community-building outreach event at the Cornerstone Center in NYC, celebrating the work that we do in our creative writing after school programs in Washington Heights. The theme this year is a whimsical Wonderland Party, inspired by Lewis Carroll鈥檚 Alice鈥檚 Adventures in Wonderland.
We invite you to join us for this golden afternoon of fun, and your $25 ticket includes a chance to win fantastical prizes as you play games, and enjoy delicious treats and beverages provided by local businesses in our area.
If you aren't able to join us in-person, you can still support our young writers by making a donation , or by visiting to find out more ways you can get involved to help us carry out our mission of empowering youth to write their own stories.
Uptown Stories has previously served as an FWT Host Site for Bennington students in the past, and this event would be a great chance for any currently interested students looking for potential FWT opportunities to connect with them and find out more about what they do. However, anyone and everyone is welcome to join and share the word about this event, or make a donation to support the work we do if they're unable to physically attend.
