Why Mentoring Matters
Mariko Silver was interviewed for two articles featured on Linkedin.com about the role that mentoring can play in professional success.
In the first, , Silver says that though some look for one mentor to teach them everything they need to know, "different people can help with different aspects of life, or at different points in a career."
She pointed to Field Work Term as an example of a system that allows a young professional to "cultivate multiple relationships that become useful in their professional careers."
In the second, ," Silver highlighted advice she had received about outlining personal, professional, and organizational goals at the same time–a useful strategy that her mentor had learned from his own mentor.
