Course Description

Summary

This is an introductory course to basic mold making and slip casting techniques for producing multiple components to create sculptural ceramic objects or a series of functional ware. This course focuses on the development of design concept through exploration of various casting methods, applying alteration techniques and experimenting with prototype making. Basic preparation of the material, glaze application and firing techniques will be introduced.
