Course Description

Summary

This course is intended for students with prior experience with the instrument. Students and expected to practice daily (minimum 30 minutes). End of semester performance is required.

Lessons are tailored to the experience of each student.

Learning Outcomes

  • By the end of the term, the student should be able to play a piece from the standard literature, and have fundamental understanding of rhythm, key signatures and all note names.

Prerequisites

While prior experience may vary, students should have some background with viola prior to taking this course.
