Course Description

Summary

The Voice Performance Intensive is an advanced voice course designed for experienced singers looking to elevate their vocal craft and take their performances to the next level. We will explore a diverse range of singing styles, including classical, contemporary, and other genres, enabling students to develop a versatile portfolio of repertoire.

This class includes weekly one-hour private lessons focused on individualized technical instruction and dramatic expression. In addition, students will meet as a group in a weekly 2-hour class that encourages collaboration and peer feedback, allowing for in-depth discussions surrounding technique, vocal health, stage presence, and interpretation. Students will also receive a weekly 30-minute coaching session with a collaborative pianist to help further polish and refine their repertoire.

Students will complete written assignments focused on voice-related topics and maintain a written practice record. A strong foundation in music literacy is expected for all participants.
