Observational and Stellar Astronomy
PHY2108.01
Course Description
Summary
All information that astronomers are able to gather about the universe comes in the form of light. In this class, we will learn the details of observational astronomy and how what we learn from light can tell us about the size, structure, and evolution of stars. This class will involve significant nighttime observing, including observing at Stickney Observatory, so students are expected to have flexible evening schedules.Prerequisites
