Course System Home Terms Spring 2016 The Right/Wrong/Right Dance: Breaking the Rules of Composition

Course Description

Summary

In this lab we will look at certain (so-called) traditional aspects to a (good) dance and then attempt to break it down and reframe this tradition with a discipline that evokes creative (aleatoric) accidents and the inexplicable nature of the creative process.  A lab that examines how performance is thought about, considered and looked upon, watched, inside and out.  A fresh (and purposely messy) outlook and or proposition on how to construct/deconstruct the right/wrong/right dance. 3-week course Fridays March 18, March 25, and April 1 from 2:10pm - 6:00pm Final class on Saturday, April 2 from 4:10pm - 6:00pm
