Course Description

Summary

This class is a hybrid of a speaker series and a research seminar. Students will be actively involved in organizing the SCT Colloquium and engaging with invited distinguished scholars. Throughout the term students will read and discuss foundational theories in the study of gender and sexuality. We will also examine recent research on gender and sexual identity development in psychology and related fields. Learning by doing, students will collaborate on a research project that examines generational differences in the construction of gender and sexual identities.

Prerequisites

An introductory psychology course.
