In wake of the violent events in Charlottesville, Virginia, an article in Fast Company cited the writings of the late management guru and former faculty member Peter Drucker, who emphasized the role of business鈥斺渙ne of the very few institutions that is not nationalistic in its worldview鈥濃攖o influence and uphold the moral standards of our country. 鈥淭o make our institutions perform responsibly,鈥 Drucker asserted in his 1973 masterpiece Management: Tasks, Responsibilities, Practices, is 鈥渢he only safeguard of freedom and dignity.鈥
