Japanese students standing on Commons Lawn Bennington Students Win Japanese Speech Contest

Bennington was well represented in Vermont's Japanese Speech Contest, with students Thomas Melvin 鈥15 and Hoa Nguyen 鈥16 winning first place in the intermediate division, and Ella Peake 鈥17 and Carolina Roque 鈥17 taking second in the introductory division.

Carlos Mendez '15 co-authored a paper in the Journal of Biological Chemistry based on research he conducted over the summer and during last year's Field Work Term at the University of Southern California. The paper provides insight into 鈥渁n alternative molecular basis for the initiation events in skin cancer.鈥
